An all new interactive tutorial system has been added. This allows us to create educational modules that walk you through whatever is needed that is more engaging than reading documentation.
Created an interactive tutorial module for introducing the basic mechanics of eqCy. This walks you through menuing, scene changes, setting up your offsets, and basic interaction concepts. More are on the way. This one has 52 unique dialogue options based on what you’re doing, and has English and Russian subtitles.
A new first start scene has been added to introduce you to the tutorial system. This only happens automatically on a fresh save file, though you can invoke the first startup tutorial from the help menu whenever you want.
Several cosmetic bug fixes for controller users.
Default control schemes have been altered for hand gestures. The finger guns gestures were just working too poorly in normal indoor lighting conditions and or on people with darker skin colors. Position creation was remapped to thumbs up as the default which all Quest headsets seem to be able to distinguish. The ability to remap buttons and gestures is coming it’s just not done, yet.
The option to show subtitles has been added. It is on by default. You can change this in the “Misc” section of settings.
Restore all default settings has been added as an option. This resets everything back to the default settings. You can find this option in the “Misc” section of settings.
Shadows have been reworked to look a little better on mobile platforms. This needs more work but it’s kind of time consuming so I’ll catch it on a later update.
Fixed a save file issue that was preventing some settings from persisting between launches of the program.
Splash screen has been changed.
Fixed graphical layering issue specific to the native build for Quest headsets.
